Our Week at a Glance

 

Day 1 | Cusco | Awana Kancha | Urubamba Valley (L)

Arrive, and meet and greet in Cusco by our English speaking tour guide. In order to avoid altitude sickness, we journey down to the Urubamba Valley at 2,000m. We visit Awana Kancha a native Alpaca, Llama and Vicuña coop farm enroute to the valley. After a traditional Quinoa lunch in the charming town of Pisac, we visit the colourful native market and have free time for shopping. The scenery in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is stunning with snow-capped mountains that embrace the basin. Transfer to our hotel for registration. Vegetarian welcome dinner at the hotel included. Hotel accommodation in the Urubamba Valley, at Yoga Mandala Retreat Centre.

 

 

Day 2-3 | Yoga Mandala | Sacred Valley (2B, 2D)

Enjoy a yoga & meditation program designed by Teshia Maher, along with ample free time to explore or relax in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Various guided excursions can be arranged for additional cost. Enjoy vegetarian dinners at the hotel.

 

 

 

Day 4 | Aquas Calientes | Machu Picchu (B/D) 

Today we take the train to Aquas Calientas and explore the spectacular sanctuary of Machu Picchu with our personal tour guide including a private guided walking tour on the Inka Trail to to the Sun Gate (Intipunku). Return to Aquas Calientes in the afternoon for a gourmet welcome dinner at the hotel. 3-Nights hotel accommodation at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo

 

 

Day 5 | Aquas Calientes | Huayna Picchu (B/D)

Today we explore Huayna Picchu. The steep mountain of Huayna Picchu is located at the far end of the ruins. The views from the top of Huanya Piccu are spectacular! In the afternoon you can again visit Machu Picchu or have a free afternoon in Aquas Calientes

 

Day 6 | Aquas Calientes, Machu Picchu Pueblo (B/D) 

Join Teshia for yoga on the hotel terrance. Today you will have the option to go on one of the following guided excursions: birdwatching, cloud forest nature walk, orchid trail tour, native farm tour, or … to visit an organic tea plantation. Alternatively, opt out of the excursion and for an additional cost, visit the beautiful onsite Andean Spa.

 

Day 7 | Ollantaytambo | Sacsaywaman | Cusco | (B)

Today we take the train back to Ollantaytambo. We are met off the train by our personal English-speaking guide for a full day tour of the Sacred Valley and the amazing Saqsawaman ruins in Cusco. 2-Nights hotel accommodation in Cusco at JW Marriott Cusco (one of Teshia´s personal fav hotels in the world)

 

Day 8 | Imperial Cusco | Witches Market | San Blas (B) 

Private guided walking tour to explore the nearby witches market in Cusco. If you are looking for odd and unusual items, you will find them at the witches ́market. In the shadow of modern amenities, outdoor stalls fill the streets. Clay pots, baskets and makeshift shelves are crammed with herbs, medicines, animal carcasses, dried bats and toads, woven items, handmade charms and amulets, strange food and potions. You have a free afternoon to shop or visit the majestic Cusco Cathedral and the impressive Qorikancha.

 

 

 

Day 9 | Cusco Departure (B)

Private transfer to the Cusco airport. Airport assistance included. Depart from Peru
